All users can make unlimited use of the application (searches, segment copies, etc.). Active users are those who log into reDock three days or more per month whereas guest users are those who use the application for two days or less. We created guest users so you wouldn’t have to pay for occasional users or those just giving reDock a try.

During a given quarter, we will not charge for guests users that use the application more than two days per month. We are very happy that more people in your organization get value from reDock. Instead, we will be in touch with you near the end of a subscription quarter to mutually agree on adjusting the number of active users. We will never charge for users in arrears nor will we make unilateral billing changes.

‍Active user licenses are “floating” in the sense that you buy capacity for your pool of users. If Peter goes on paternal leave for 3 months and Mary becomes an active user, there is no change to your cost.

We have customers with tens and even hundreds of thousands of files loaded in reDock — searching is still fast.

Each plan includes the listed number of documents per active users. For example, on our Growth plan with 10 active users, you can upload up to 50,000 documents. We are happy to discuss customized pricing under our Enterprise plan if you need to upload more documents than your licenses would normally support.

Out of the box, all of our plans support connectors with Office 365/SharePoint Online or Google Drive. Typically, we need a brief call with your CMS administrator to configure the connector after which reDock will be fed the content that you designate. This content will be automatically updated when you make additions, modifications, or deletions in your CMS. The connector normally runs on a daily batch schedule but we can change that if you need.

reDock was built for extensibility. You can build your own connectors and text transforms if you have a proprietary system to which you would like to connect and you have in-house developers who can write Java. We can also provide both advisory and development services for your specific needs.

The customer completely controls which documents get into reDock, whether manually uploaded or via a connector. Standard functionality includes site level access where every user can access every document in your client space. To meet specific needs, we can optionally develop document level access control where users only see search results from the documents they have permission to see in your CMS.

Redaction allows you to anonymize or remove certain information from documents as you upload them, based on a replacement list that you manage. The Growth plan includes cloud based redaction and the Enterprise plan can include on-premise redaction so that sensitive information never reaches our servers.
